Cooper Hewitt

The Cooper Hewitt is the only museum in the United States devoted to historical and contemporary design. Its collections and exhibitions explore approximately 240 years of design aesthetic and creativity. It is a fun destinations with interactive experiences once they re-open. Pioneer Works

Pioneer Works was founded in 2012 & is located within a 25,000 ft. warehouse! It’s an awesome environment that builds community through the arts and sciences to create an open and inspired world. Governors Island

From its military beginnings as a colonial militia in 1755, Governors Island became a major headquarters for the U.S. Army and Coast Guard, making it one of the longest continually operated military installations in the country until its closure in 1996. Today, the 172-acred island boasts an award winning park with #views for days!

The Highline

The High Line was once a dilapidated railway line but since 2009, it has quickly become one of New York City’s most popular parks, giving visitors the chance to step out of the concrete jungle to enjoy public art, gardens & panoramic views of the city. The High Line will leave you (& your Instagram feed) more than satisfied!

Widely regarded as a masterpiece of landscape architecture, Central Park is both a National Historic Landscape and a Scenic Landscape of the City of New York. Whether you enjoy a picnic, a game of ultimate frisbee, or even a nice cycle around the Park, Central Park is a great way to spend beautiful summer days!

Brooklyn Botanical Garden

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) is a botanical garden in the borough of Brooklyn, New York City. It was founded in 1910 and is located in Mount Prospect Park in central Brooklyn, adjacent to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum. The 52-acre garden holds over 14,000 taxa of plants and has nearly a million visitors each year!!!

Museum of Moving Image

Head over to @movingimagenyc during our NYC Memorial Day Weekend Scavenger! The Museum of the Moving Image is the nation’s only museum devoted to film, television and digital media. One of their main exhibitions, Behind the Screen, takes up two floors & contains almost 1,400 historical artifacts, commissioned artworks, video clips & interactive exhibits to demonstrate how moving images are created, marketed & displayed!

Brooklyn Children’s Museum

Brooklyn Children's Museum was the first museum created expressly for children, and its success has sparked the creation of 300 children's museums around the world. With hands-on exhibits and innovative use of its collections, the museum engages children from pre-school to high school in learning adventures, encouraging them to develop an understanding of and respect for themselves, others, and the world around. Fun, educational exhibits teach children about world cultures, history, science and nature, including live animals and a collection of 30,000 historical artifacts that even parents will enjoy. There’s also a special area for children under five, with activities specially geared toward the youngest of youngsters and how they learn!
